Exciting news! We should have eggs to sell by September!
We have chicks coming in April. We have placed orders for the following breeds:
- Columbian Rock
- Buff Brahma
- Buff Orpington
- Blue Silkie
We should have about 130 laying hens in the end. Most of these breeds you can’t buy sexed, so you’ll get half pullets (baby girls) and half cockerels (baby boys). The Columbian Rock you can buy sexed so that’s why we have ordered 100 of those.
Chickens will take about 5 months until they start to lay.
