We decided to do an epic 3 day canning weekend… It just seemed easier to work hard and get done what was on the wish list!
This year we ordered 50 lbs of roma tomatoes from Broxburn. Certainly we have a lot of our own tomatoes but not enough ready at one time to make the things we wanted to make.
We now focus mostly on condiments. It’s the one thing I loath buying. So this year, we had some fun!

Was there sugar involved? Yes.
I try to keep tabs on which items get eaten the quickest and focus on making those. I used to make chutneys and other fancy items but they weren’t enjoyed often enough… I typically trade for jams/jellies.
